Jean Hogg (Will co-run all workshops)
Jean writes and directs drama; she trained in the Meisner technique to further her relationship with directing and acting. Her short films have screened at film festivals worldwide. Into the Silent Land, 16mm sold at Cannes Film Market, Sales: Shorts International.
Jean has a background in film production working as an Assistant Director and Production Manager. She has worked as a community arts facilitator since 2006 often working with ‘hard to reach’ participants. She has been commissioned to make films for numerous charities, Unison and Norfolk Children’s Services. She has been a tutor with Musical Keys working with young people with disabilities since 2010.
Jean had an arts background (BA Hons in Art and Related Arts) and an MA in Film Direction from Goldsmiths College, 2003-4. Selected for the Creative England Talent Lab, 2016/17. Jean is a graduate of Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme, School of Social Entrepreneurs EAST 2016/17 and is the founder of Campbell Cloud Films CiC which runs Norwich Film Workshop.
Jean has been a trustee with Cinema City Education since 2012.
Bel Greenwood (Scriptwriting)
Bel Greenwood has an MA in Creative Writing/Scriptwriting from the University of East Anglia where she won the Theatre Prize. She was a winner of the Penguin/Decibel Life-writing Prize and was awarded an Escalator in 2009. Her work is for adults and children, and her plays have performed regionally and nationally.
She is founder and co-organiser of Words and Women, a voluntary organisation which supports and celebrates women writers, she and her co-organiser Lynne Bryan have twice been shortlisted for Women in Publishing’s New Venture Award. Bel was selected for the first round of Write2Screen’s Script Hothouse and was part of Creative England’s East of England Talent Module. She is a co-director of Chalk Circle Theatre Company and co-director of Script6, a script development company in Norfolk.
She mentors young people for the BFI Academy with Culture works.
Agnes Lilies (Acting for Camera)
Agnes trained for three years at The London Studio Centre. She worked with Monstrous Regiment and I Gelati at The Cockpit Theatre before spending five months at The English Speaking Theatre in Hamburg. She did two seasons at The Royal Opera house in Jersey, and after understudying the three girls in Allo Allo in The West End, she was then offered the role of Helga for a 6-month run.
After moving to East Anglia, she did two tours with Eastern Angles and had run Eastbound Theatre company and most recently Yakety Yak young actors company. They are preparing an original show ” Suffragette! for an autumn tour.
She worked with Film Suffolk on ” With Love from Suffolk ” and ” The Haunted Hotel”. Recently she played the part of Lily in a Nollywood /Suffolk collaboration.
She worked with Jean Hogg on the web series ” The Bereavement Club”, playing Rosemary.
Paul Thompson (Film-making)
Paul Thompson has been creating, recording and mixing sound since 1992 (primarily musical but more often associated with visual elements), and has expanded his audio-visual skills over the last few years (including a return to formal education achieving a First Class BA
Hons in film and moving Image and will complete an MA in film and sound at Norwich University of the Arts in September 2018).
Paul has been involved in the Community Arts sector since 1986, working as a tutor/facilitator/mentor for many arts
organisations, delivering workshops, group and solo tutoring as well as one to one tuition to a broad demographic, with an emphasis on ‘hard to reach’ participants and covering a full spectrum of the arts, including song making, music production, visual design and filmmaking
