Be one of twelve filmmakers to have the opportunity to take part in this intensive two-day workshop where you will study the craft of directing.
- Script editing;
- Calling the shots – getting the terminology right;
- How to read a text – what does the director look for?
- Blocking scenes, and directing your actors;
- Getting started in the industry.
Aimed respectively at those with some prior filmmaking experience, and those who are just starting out.
Cost: £85.00 for two days (Early Bird: £70.00 until Midnight 8th February 2019).

Previously Richard wrote and directed The Gigolos, starring Anna Massey and Susannah York. The film premiered at AFI Fest in Hollywood, and the UK theatrical release was supported by BFI. In 2010 The Gigolos topped The Daily Telegraph’s list of The Most Underrated Films of All Time.
Since 2017 Richard has lectured on the Film and Moving Image Production BA (Hons) at Norwich University of the Arts.
Last year he toured Algeria with the British Council to deliver a series of seminars on screenwriting & script development to students and academics working in film and media.
